Original 1940 caption: “Sure and there’s a bit o’Irish in this St. Patrick’s Day creation worn by pretty Dorothy Kelton as a salute to spring at Old Point Comfort, Va. Green figured shamrock skirt, a white shamrock belt buckle, a shamrock necklace, and bejabbers even her hat’s a replica of an Irishman’s clay pipe !”

Though please remember it can get chilly, even in Virginia.
Original December 18, 1941 caption: “All wrapped and ready for delivery is this Christmas package of southern sunshine from the Chamberlain Beach Club, at Old Point Comfort, Va., where Catherine Williams has a smile as sunny as the weather.”

Or maybe Space pioneer Sam!?!?

The capsule he rode into space from Wallops Island, Va., was fished out of the Atlantic ocean after the ride Friday. Sam was encased in this gear in preparation for the flight.”
